Congratulations to Ebbing and Heil!!

Hi Steel Fans! We hope that you had a fabulous New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! We are excited to announce that the Chicago Steel's Christian Heil and Thomas Ebbing have been selected to compete in the 2013 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, the league announced on Wednesday.

Heil and Ebbing will suit up for Team East in the contest, which is set for Wednesday, Jan. 23 at L.C. Walker Arena in Muskegon, Mich. The event will feature the top 40 USHL players eligible for the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and will be heavily scouted by all 30 NHL clubs.

Heil, a Westminster Colorado native, is in his second season with the Steel and has 16 points in 20 games (14 g 2 a). Last season he had 19 points in 55 games (8 g 11 a).

Ebbing, a native of Troy, Michigan, has recorded 15 points in 24 games this season (8 G 7 a). Thomas was also a member of the 2012 World Junior A Challenge team that gold the gold medal.

Last season, Team East defeated Team West, in the inaugural USHL/NHL Top Prospects game. Good luck to both Heil and Ebbing, we know that you will do great on Team East!!
