The Chicago Steel travel to Michigan this weekend for two games
against the Team USA U-17 Juniors. Friday’s game will begin at 6:00 p.m. CST
while Saturday’s game is set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
The Steel (13-16-2) look to rebound after two home losses
last weekend. Saturday, the Steel faced off against Team USA’s U-18 team and
lost 6-2. Sunday, Chicago played the top team in the Western conference, Sioux City, and lost 7-3. Mason Bergh, Tanner Laczynski and Dennis Gilbert
rejoin the team this weekend after playing in the USHL Top Prospects Game this
past Tuesday. Laczynski and Bergh each recorded assists in the East’s 7-4 win.
Team USA’s two teams have compiled a record of 10-16-0 on
the season. The U-17 USA Juniors lost twice to Cedar Rapids last weekend. Forward
Clayton Keller leads the USA offensive attack with 18 points in 16 games this
season.
Chicago will be back at home on Saturday, Jan.
24 to face the Dubuque Fighting Saints at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for the
